What are the signs? How do I tell?

INFORMATION NEEDED: How to know if my ex wants me back, and what I can do about it.

So you want to think there’s hope after that sucky breakup, that painful separation, and you want to know the signs that you can get your ex back. Are there such signs?

Well sure!

But every case is different. You might see all of these signs. You might see all of them and more, you might not see any of these signs at all. These “clues” will set a general context for how to tell if there’s a good chance your ex wants to get back together.

NOTE: If you don’t see any of these signs and you’re still skeptical, don’t panic! There’s plenty of things you can do to try to create a better chance of getting your ex back.

Your ex’s Willingness to listen


If you’ve been spending any time at all with your ex, in public, in private or whatever, pay attention to your ex’s attitude. If your ex seems to be willing to listen to you, and shows interest in your conversations, that’s a great sign!

WHY?

Well, if you think about it, lack of listening is one of the main things that leads to divorce or breakup. People stop being willing to communicate and to listen.

If your ex listens to you and seems to show interest in any communication at all, there is a chance that they’re mind has changed and become more open to you at least a little tiny bit.


Talks nicely to you

If you talk to your ex, or if you try to, pay attention to the tone your ex uses to talk with you. If you sense a harsh tone, it could suggest that there is some more work to be done before you can begin to progress towards renewing that bond.

(A LOT OF WORK PROBABLY. But don’t give up.)

But say on the other hand you hear a nice tone (again it could depend on the personality of your ex), a tone that your ex used to have when things were going better, it could mean probably one of two things:

  • Your ex has found happiness in something else.
  • Your ex enjoys being with you, misses you, and wants to get back together with you.

“Does it mean my ex wants me back if I get compliments all the time?”

Getting compliments is a great sign. It could reflect simply a general good-will from your ex, but it could also mean something more. It could mean that your ex is interested in getting you back.

Some other signs:

If your ex acts jealous (or maybe overly curious) and they want to know what you’re up to and who you’re hanging out with all the time. In this case it might seem obvious your ex wants you back.

When your ex tells you that you’re missed. Ok, this one might seem way too obvious. But hey, sometimes we are in such a negative train of thought, thinking that it’s hopeless, that we miss the signs that are RIGHT UNDER OUR NOSES!

So keep your head up, keep hoping, and keep working on your attitude. Try to understand the situation of your ex from their perspective. Now that is HARD to do, but it will get you super far because by stepping into their shoes, you know what is really going on in their life.
